History Man Tours and Character Locations

History Man Tours and Character Locations is part of the programme at Arundel Castle in West Sussex. The castle writes: “Over the Autumn half term the Castle’s History Man is in character either based in a particular location or taking tours.”

What to expect:

• Tue 27 and Sat 31 Oct: Moat Tours at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm, led by the Castle Guard
• Wed 28 and Thu 29 Oct: First Siege Tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm, led by a Norman Soldier
• Fri 30 Oct: “Meet the History Man from 10am to 3pm” in the Fitzalan Chapel, as a Medieval Herald
• Each tour lasts 40 minutes; on the siege tour there is “An opportunity to handle replica objects, weapons, and armour of the period.”
• “Included in all ticket types.” — a castle ticket covers it, no separate booking
• “Details of the day’s tours and starting points will be displayed at the Ticket Office.”
• The Moat Tour needs steps down into the moat; the Fitzalan Chapel is up steep stone steps
