History of Derby Day is part of the programme at Derby Museums.
Join the Derby Museums Learning Team for a 'History of Derby' talk for young people aged 4-18 in home education. Learning Programmer John Banks explores the history of the city using objects from the museum collections.
What to expect:
- Thursday 3 December 2026, 10am-12.30pm
- For young people aged 4-18 years of age and in Home Education
- A talk in The Wardwick, then a chance to handle and draw real and replica objects
- "£7.80 / FREE for adults", and "Parents and children aged 4 and under attend for free and do not need to book"
- Booking essential; parents are asked to accompany young people
- Families are encouraged to tour all three museum sites afterwards
- A short, optional questionnaire at the end asks what families want from the museums
