Homeschool Class (Age 8-12)

Homeschool Class (Age 8-12) is part of the programme at the Natural Sciences Museum, a small charity museum of fossils, minerals and palaeontology on Holme Lane in north Sheffield.

A weekly Monday class for home-educated children: a short lecture, then a practical activity, on a new topic each week.

What to expect:

• Mondays at 11:00, one hour, in the 8-12 age band
• Topics published to 30 November: Dino Detectives, Bats, Eyes, Photosynthesis, Antarctica and Its Fossils, Moas, Rocks
• NO SESSION on 19 October, which the museum states on its booking page
• "Home school class is a safe and calm environment for children to learn science", in classes "much smaller than school classes"
• "Parental supervision is encouraged but not required." Anyone not staying completes a permission form and leaves emergency contact details
• Limited spaces, so the museum asks you to book online
