About this event
Jorfor’s Hall Vikings is part of the programme at Murton Park, home of the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, in York.
The Vikings "will demonstrate a range of crafts and skills from over 1,000 years ago" - walk through the village and experience the sights and sounds of your ancestors.
What to expect:
- 2026: Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October; 2027 dates from 26 March to 24 October
- Hunting and trapping: rare furs and skins, tool-making and trapping demonstrations
- Cooking demonstrations and Viking clothing, music, games and pastimes
- Combat displays of Viking tactics, weaponry and armour
- Free with a valid annual pass; otherwise park admission applies
- Park open 10am to 4.30pm, last admission 3.30pm
