Kilwinning Christmas Gala

Kilwinning's annual Christmas light switch-on takes over Main Street with children's rides, market stalls and a grotto, and ends with the lights going on.

What to expect:

• Thursday 19 November 2026 from 4pm on Main Street, Kilwinning
• The council describes it as "The annual Christmas light switch-on in Kilwinning featuring children's rides, market stalls and Santa's grotto"
• Children's fairground rides along the street
• A Christmas market of stalls
• Santa's grotto - the listing does not say whether the grotto is ticketed or whether you need to book, so check nearer the time
• Outdoors on a November evening in the dark, so wrap up warm
• Organised locally; Choose Kilwinning posts the running order closer to the date
