About this event
Lego Animation Club is part of the programme at Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge.
Discover the exciting world of stop-motion animation: using real film equipment, children turn their LEGO creations into animated movies, build imaginative worlds, create unforgettable characters and watch their stories come to life — one frame at a time.
What to expect:
- For ages 8-12, Thursdays 3.30-5pm at Summerlee Photomedia Studio
- Autumn dates: 1, 8, 22 and 29 October; 5, 12, 19 and 26 November; 3 and 10 December 2026
- Build LEGO scenes and characters, then learn the basics of stop-motion animation
- Child-friendly cameras and film-making equipment provided
- Children make their own short animated films and watch them on the big screen
- Work alone or with new friends — storytelling as well as tech
- £6.00 per session; booking required, online or on 01698 274545
- Summerlee is free to enter and has a cafe and picnic areas on site
