Make your own Curse Tablet is part of the Families programme at Corinium Museum in Cirencester.

"Did you know that the Romans wrote secret curses on lead tablets and threw them in springs to hex their enemies? Come and learn how to inscribe your own spooky curse tablet just in time for Halloween."

What to expect:

• Friday 30 October 2026, 10.30am to 12 noon - October half term
• "From stolen cloaks to chariot race rivals, no grudge was too small!" - inscribe your own tablet to take home
• Built around the museum's Roman collection, in the town the Romans called Corinium
• "Bookable through the Cirencester History Festival website" rather than the museum's usual portal
• Booking is through the festival rather than the museum's own ticket portal
• Dress for a craft session - you are working with inscribing tools and materials
• Held in the museum on Park Street; nearest parking the Old Station Car Park (GL7 1US), two minutes' walk
