Model Railway Weekend

Model Railway Weekend is part of the events programme at Swanage Railway in Dorset.

Following the success of the railway's first ever Model Railway Weekend the event returns on 17 and 18 April 2027, with full-size trains running alongside their smaller counterparts across the line.

What to expect:

• Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April 2027 - come either day
• Model railway layouts in a range of gauges and scales, spread across four sites
• Layouts at Swanage Station, Harmans Cross Station and Village Hall, Corfe Castle Station and the Purbeck Mining Museum at Norden Station
• Heritage steam trains running between the sites, so the layouts are reached by train
• Traders selling new and second-hand models and model railway accessories, including Model Railway Solutions at Swanage Station on both days
• Full details for the 2027 show have not been published yet, so check the page nearer the time for times and ticket prices
