About this event

Ocean Tales is part of the Natural History Museum's free learning-volunteer activities, and of its October half-term Family Festival: Ocean October (26 October - 1 November).

"Dive into the Jurassic seas with our playful and inclusive sensory story-sharing experience for ages 4–7." Families meet marine creatures from the past through stories, tactile props, sounds and movement.

What to expect:

  • Sundays 11, 18 and 25 October and 1 November 2026, plus Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 October
  • Activities page: "Drop-in, 11:30–14:30"; half-term programme: 12:00, 13:00 and 14:00 (calm session)
  • Nature Activity Centre in the Nature Discovery Garden
  • Free, drop-in, first-come first-served
  • "Subject to volunteer availability"
  • "Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult."
