The Natural History Museum is one of London's best museums for visitors of all ages. The impressive building and magnificent entrance hall make a great first impression. Inside, you'll find everything from dinosaur skeletons and precious minerals to exhibitions about volcanoes, earthquakes, and the natural world. The museum is quite large, so it's easy to spend several hours exploring. My favorite section was the galleries dedicated to gemstones, minerals, and elements. Seeing the wide variety of crystals, precious stones, meteorites, and mineral specimens up close was fascinating. If you're interested in geology or minerals, I highly recommend spending extra time in this part of the museum. You'll also find souvenir medallion vending machines inside the museum, where you can purchase pressed collectible medallions with different designs. They make a nice keepsake from your visit. Admission is free, but it can get very busy, especially on weekends and during school holidays. If you prefer a quieter visit, I recommend arriving early in the morning. The museum shop is also worth visiting, offering a great selection of books, educational items, and souvenirs for both children and adults. It's definitely a place worth adding to your London itinerary.

Beautiful building, amazing things to look at and learn about inside from dinosaurs to butterflies, rocks to gemstones, nature and natural world at its very best. Wonderful outdoor area too. Although the museum is free to visit I recommend booking your tickets on line as you can skip the queues, which can be rather long at times, especially weekends. There is a very good cafe, very reasonably priced within the museum. I did think for such a big building they could do with a few more toilets, at times we had to queue. But having said that they were clean and well maintained. Also amenities for disabled. There is a very nice shop, plenty of lovely gifts. Highly recommend a visit to the NHM, I first went with my junior school and gave loved the place ever since.

Great Free Museum for Families The Natural History Museum is free to enter and is a great place for families to visit. The dinosaur section is located on the ground floor and is very popular with children. Personally, I enjoyed the Earthquake and Volcano section even more. It was interesting and educational. There is also a paid exhibition area, where we saw the underwater prehistoric sea monsters, which was quite exciting. Overall, it is a fun and meaningful place to spend time with the family, especially if you have kids who enjoy dinosaurs and nature.

For anyone that enjoys to see a bit of the animal world, fossils, rocks and dinosaurs...it's definitely worth the go. They have an extensive range of species to see, fascinating collection. It's family friendly, with facilities to have a short break. Def check the shop, there's a few nice things to pick up : ) Small advice when planning your trip: Even though it's free to enter, make sure you buy the free tickets online...as there are two ques outside the museum. The one for those having tickets ( takes 2 seconds to scan - no wait time ) and the very long one ( where you are getting a ticket at the desk - a very, very long que - must avoid )
