The Outer Defences Tour shows Fort Nelson from a new perspective, stepping beyond the walls into the vast ditch cut as the Fort's first line of defence.
On this tour, discover how the ditch was created and the vital role played in defending the Fort.
What to expect:
- Saturday 20 March 2027
- Tours at 10:30am and 2pm, each 90 minutes
- The tour is not considered suitable for under 12s due to the tour route
- Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
- Outdoors with steep slopes and no facilities on the route; the route is not accessible
- Wear sturdy footwear and clothing for the weather
- Tickets: £12
