Pattern Festival

Join us as we celebrate 50 years of the National Wool Museum, Campaign for Wool and British Wool Month with a special festival exploring the patterns woven through Wales’s woollen heritage. From the distinctive designs of traditional Welsh blankets to the patterns and rhythms found in weaving, stories and music, enjoy a day of demonstrations, living history, creativity and discovery.

What to expect:

• Saturday 17 October 2026, 10.30am-3.30pm
• Working looms and historic machinery, with object handling throughout the day
• Storytelling, live music and Dawnswyr Talog folk dancers
• Weaving, spinning and textile demonstrations, and local woollen makers
• "Creative activities for all ages including the official opening of the Weaving Shed"
• Free, drop in (see the timetable on the day)
