About this event
Public Fossil Hunting Walk is part of the programme at Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, on the seafront in Charmouth.
Join one of our guided Fossil Walks with the Wardens to find and take home your own Jurassic fossil. Anything you find on your walk is yours to keep!
What to expect:
- 1.5 hours entirely outdoors on the beach, hunting for fossils with a Warden and trained volunteers
- Dates with places left: Tue 13 Oct 1-2.30pm, Sat 17 Oct 3-4.30pm, Sun 25 Oct 9.30-11am, Tue 27 Oct 11am-12.30pm, Thu 29 Oct 12.30-2pm, Fri 30 Oct 1-2.30pm, Sat 31 Oct 2-3.30pm
- Meet at the red lifebuoy outside the Centre 5 minutes before the start
- A fossil hunting briefing video is emailed after booking (check your junk folder)
- "£14 Adult, £8 Child. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult."
- Uneven ground with sand, pebbles and boulders; wear footwear with good tread and bring water
- Dogs allowed on a short lead; book online in advance
