Public Open Day - 18 October

The October running day is part of the Pinewood (Wokingham) Miniature Railway's season at Pinewood Leisure Centre, between Wokingham and Crowthorne.

A volunteer-run half-mile miniature railway through the woods, open one Sunday a month. Steam and diesel engines run all afternoon, there is nothing to book, and the trains depart every few minutes.

What to expect:

• Sunday 18 October 2026, 1.30pm to 4pm (last train departure) - the last running day of the main season
• "our railway runs for nearly half a mile through a woodland setting"
• "Rides cost £1.50 each, or save money with our £5 'multiride' ticket, which gives 4 rides."
• "Children under three travel free." "We accept cash, debit card and credit card payments."
• "We do not take bookings, but our trains depart every few minutes."
• The leisure centre "has a large free car park and also offers woodland walks, a childrens adventure playground"
• Run entirely by volunteers; the society has been running trains for nearly 40 years
