The Pumpkin Trail is part of the events programme at the Bolton Abbey Estate near Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Who dare enter Strid Wood through the giant spooky gates? The Pumpkin Trail is back: navigate your way through the wood following the giant pumpkins and keep your eyes peeled for clues hidden in the mystery boxes along the way, which help unveil the puzzle.
What to expect:
- Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026, open 9am to 4pm each day
- Collect your trail sheet from the Cavendish Shop as you head into the wood
- The trail follows the green trail from the Cavendish Shop up to the Strid
- "This is a family event, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Dogs are welcome on a lead."
- "The Pumpkin Trail is included in the Estate car park fee" - no separate ticket
- Pre-booking the Riverside car park is strongly advised; it is nearest the start
- Warm clothing and sturdy shoes advised; dogs welcome on a lead
