This was my first visit to Bolton Abbey and it definitely won’t be my last. What a beautiful place. The whole estate is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous riverside walks, woodland paths, open countryside and the Abbey ruins creating the most perfect backdrop. It feels peaceful, historic and completely charming from the moment you arrive. There is so much to enjoy, whether you want a proper walk, a relaxed wander, a picnic by the river or just somewhere lovely to switch off for a while. Everywhere feels well looked after, but still natural and full of character. The scenery is beautiful in every direction, and the mix of old stone, flowing water, trees and open space makes it feel really special. It is one of those places that feels good for the soul. A truly gorgeous day out and one of Yorkshire’s gems. First time visiting, but definitely not the last

An absolute gem of a day out! Bolton Abbey is set in a stunning location, with the magnificent Priory Church and its historic ruins lying right at the heart of the estate, surrounded by dramatic moorland on the banks of the River Wharfe. The buildings are incredibly well-preserved, and a personal highlight was seeing the beautiful Sainsbury stained-glass window inside the church. It is also wonderful to see their commitment to sustainability, as they are a proud recipient of the Eco Church Gold Award. Highly recommended!

A very beautiful place to visit. Many nice scenery places, a lot of fun for the kids to enjoy on a welly walk route. Built in swings, slides, climbing equipment makes it more enjoyable for the kids 😊 kids were super excited to see real life "money tree" too😊 on a warmer days kids can paddle in the shallow river and splash around. The Abbey itself is magnificent, theres a small plaque explaining and showing pictures of its formal glory days. Would definitely recommend to visit.

It is a very nice and quiet place to visit. The church is a bit small but very beautiful with its historical background. The Stepping Stone is amazing but it is a bit dangerous if you fell into the water with strong current. You have to pay £15 for carpark at the entrance.

Great walks. Scenic views of the abbey. Fascinating to see the Strid. Really enjoyed seeing all the old trees. Only visited the Cavendish tea room which was as expected.
