About this event
Pumpkins at the Castle is part of the events programme at Watermouth Castle in Berrynarbor, North Devon.
Thousands of pumpkins line the walkways and fill the Courtyard with market stalls sorted by variety – “Big, small, wonky, round, warty or white.” The rest of the castle comes with the same day ticket.
What to expect:
- Open 10am to 5pm on the castle's open days until 1 November 2026; last admission 3pm
- Pumpkin walkways through the grounds and a Courtyard market of pumpkins, squashes and gourds
- Trick or Treat Trail with characters, a treat at every stop and a final reward – weekends and school holidays only
- Marshmallow toasting at one of two roasting pits; a small charge applies
- Rides, water gardens, museums, the gnome trail and the dungeons are included
- Pumpkins are bought separately on the day and are not in the admission ticket
- Pushchairs are allowed in the grounds but not in the castle; a pushchair valet is offered
