Relaxed Skate Sessions at Somerset House

Relaxed Skate Sessions are part of Skate at Somerset House with Virgin Atlantic Holidays, the ice rink in the courtyard on the Strand in London.

If you would prefer to take your first steps on the ice in a more relaxed setting, we are offering reduced-capacity Skate sessions on selected weekday and weekend mornings across the season.

What to expect:

• Four dates: Sunday 22 November, Wednesday 2 December and Tuesday 8 December 2026, and Sunday 3 January 2027
• 45 minutes on the ice, at 10-10.45am on three of the dates and 11-11.45am on Wednesday 2 December
• Music at lower levels, a quieter and more spacious rink, and an extra indoor chill-out space if you need a break
• 'It'll be great for families too, with complimentary skate stabilisers available to children age 8 or under' - a limited number, first come first served, and they cannot be pre-booked
• Intended for first-timers and anyone who prefers a calmer environment, including neurodiverse visitors
