Roman Reenactment Weekend — 31 October & 1 November

A contingent of the Butser IX Roman Legion camps out around the reconstructed Roman villa for the weekend, with combat displays, Roman cooking, crafts and games to try, across Butser's open-air site of reconstructed ancient buildings.

What to expect:

• "Activities free with your admission! Normal entrance prices apply."
• Living history and combat reenactments with the Butser IX Roman Legion
• "See our Roman Villa brought to life with demonstrations of daily life from cooking to board games."
• "Get hands-on and learn an ancient skill like spinning or carving chalk as you explore our open air site."
• Open 10am–4pm, last admission 2:30pm; "Most visits last between two and five hours."
• Admission £15.50 Adult, £10.50 Child, £27.00 small family (1 adult & 2 kids), £41.50 medium family
• Dogs welcome on leads; free parking, and the number 37 bus runs from Petersfield
• Activities are run by volunteers and "may be subject to change on the day"
