Sailing The Stars is part of the programme at Bristol Dockyards, home of the SS Great Britain, in Bristol.
This Christmas the ship and dockyards become a living map of the night sky: a celestial light trail created with artists Squidsoup, inspired by the stars that guided SS Great Britain's journeys across the globe.
What to expect:
- Runs 25 November 2026 to 10 January 2027; Bristol Dockyards is open Tuesday to Sunday
- Five installations: the Plough, Polaris, Orion in the Dry Dock, the Southern Cross and an aurora on the Promenade Deck
- Recreate constellations with torches and discover hidden details through binoculars
- Wander through, pause beneath or lie among some of the installations
- True stories of passengers and crew who sailed under these stars
- Included in your General Admission or Afternoon Saver Ticket
- Evening Christmas Lates on the trail on four dates (listed separately)
