About this event
Santa Specials is part of the programme at the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway, a volunteer-run narrow-gauge steam line in Kent.
A 15-minute steam train ride from Sittingbourne Viaduct to Kemsley Down, where Santa or his elves meet the train.
What to expect:
- 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 and 23 December 2026; trains at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
- The whole trip takes around two hours
- Children meet Santa in his grotto and choose an unwrapped gift; personalised Christmas card in the ticket pack
- Santa's Workshop craft activity to take home
- Adults get seasonal refreshments in the Footplate Café
- "Fares this year are £18 for over 3s and £12 for under 3s and SKLR members, this includes the return train fare and present for children or refreshments for adults."
- Seats must be booked in advance; step-free route into the station; a wheelchair-accessible coach can be booked by email
