About this event
Santa Specials are part of the Christmas programme at the Apedale Valley Light Railway near Newcastle-under-Lyme. Your party boards at the platform beside the Apedale Heritage Centre; during the 15-minute round trip Santa meets the train and comes back to the station, and then the children meet him in his grotto.
What to expect:
- 12, 13, 19 and 20 December
- Trains run at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30 on each day
- Advance Price: Children £13.00, Adults £9.75. On the Day Price (subject to space being on the trains): Children £15.00, Adults £12.00
- In the price: a ride on the steam train for everybody, children meet Santa, a quality present for each child and a hot drink for the adult
- The 12:00 train on Saturday 13th only is a quiet train - no music, and the grotto lighting turned up
- Wait for your train in the warmth of the Apedale Heritage Centre and its cafe
- Strongly recommended to book ahead; these trains are always extremely popular
