Santa Specials: Quiet Train

The quiet Santa train is part of the Santa Specials at the Apedale Valley Light Railway near Newcastle-under-Lyme. One departure is run as a quiet train: no music, and the lighting in the grotto turned up, which the railway says may help some children.

What to expect:

• Saturday 13 December, the 12:00 departure only
• No music on the train, and the grotto lighting is turned up, which may help some children
• Board beside the Apedale Heritage Centre; on the 15-minute round trip Santa meets the train, then children meet him in his grotto
