About this event
The SEN experience is Hever Castle's quieter version of its Father Christmas grotto, inside the Nutcracker's Christmas season in Kent. The castle says it "will be tailored to children with SEN requirements" - the same snowy path, post office, elves and log cabin, on two dedicated mornings before the grounds get busy.
What to expect:
- Two dates only: Saturday 28 November and Saturday 5 December 2026
- Grotto slots at 11:30 and 11:45, with a 10:30 arrival in the grounds
- "At the end of the enchanting paths you'll meet Father Christmas in his cosy log cabin and receive a gift."
- "All children will receive a gift (age-appropriate 0-4 years or 5+ years)"
- "Pre-booking is essential." The grotto ticket is separate from grounds admission
- "Up to 4 adults per group are permitted in the Grotto."
- "You may take your own photos in the grotto. No professional photos will be taken."
- The Christmas trail, characters and lit grounds are open the same day
