SEND Sessions: Father Christmas at Lappa Valley

On one Saturday morning Lappa Valley reserves its first three Christmas trains for families visiting with someone who has Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. "Designed primarily for young people who would benefit from a more relaxed experience, particularly those who are neurodivergent."

What to expect:

• Saturday 5 December 2026 - the 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am trains only
• Fewer bookings in each session and more time allowed, so nothing feels rushed
• Brighter grotto lighting, static lighting displays and no playing fairground organ
• Very quiet Christmas music over the PA instead
• Optional souvenir photography, with the camera flash covered
• You can tell them how much interaction with Father Christmas would suit your child, including very little
• A range of more appropriate gifts is available - add a note to your booking
• Bookable only by phoning 01872 510317 between 9am and 5pm; these trains cannot be booked online
