St Andrew's Day Family Ceilidhs

St Andrew's Day Family Ceilidhs is one of the family ceilidhs CeilidhKids run at halls around Edinburgh. You and your child dance, clap and march together to recorded ceilidh bands, learning a few very simple figures, with the emphasis on fun and on staying inside your child's comfort zone.

What to expect:

• Sunday 29 November 2026, a choice of three one-hour sessions: 10-11am, 11.15am-12.15pm or 12.30-1.30pm
• In the ballroom above the Pear Tree pub, in Edinburgh's Southside
• Aimed at families with children aged 3-9; all welcome, and the dances are simplified and non-scary
• Not a drop-off session - an adult dances with each child; under-fives need a grown-up's hand to hold
• Book by email to [email protected], saying which session you want
• They say: “Please bring your own refreshments; a donation of £5 per family would be welcome if you can manage it.”
• Wear what you like - kilts, party dresses, tracksuits; soft shoes help, and ballet shoes are even better
