Sunday Family Sessions: Charcoal and Oil Pastel Chrysanthemums

Sunday Family Sessions: Charcoal and Oil Pastel Chrysanthemums is part of the Family Learning programme at the Garden Museum on Lambeth Palace Road, London. A free Sunday drop-in where families make something together, taking its cue from whatever is hanging in the galleries.

Inspired by the chrysanthemum paintings in our exhibition, Sabine Moritz: Lie Down in Green Pastures, we will be using charcoal and oil pastels to draw our own still life artwork.

What to expect:

• Sunday 22 November 2026, 11am – 12.30pm
• “Free. No booking required: first come, first served.”
• “Suitable for all ages 3y+”
• “All children to be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or carer, who are encouraged to join in with the session too.”
• Real chrysanthemums to draw from, charcoal and oil pastels provided
• Linked to the museum's current exhibition, so you can go and see the paintings afterwards
• Museum galleries, garden and the award-winning Garden Café are on the same site
