About this event
A free drop-in family drawing event in the grounds of Lauriston Castle, Edinburgh, run by Lauriston Castle staff as part of The Big Draw. Families collect a drawing board, paper and pencil from the Castle courtyard just past Mimi's, then draw in the grounds - the Japanese Garden and the Rose Garden are suggested - taking in the sights, smells and sounds of the gardens. Staff would like to photograph participants' creations for the castle's social media pages. It runs on Monday 12 October and Friday 16 October 2026, 10am to 12 noon on both days. There is no need to book; entry is free, though a donation is welcomed.
