The Dundee Hooley is part of Christmas in Dundee, Dundee City Council's festive programme. It marks St Andrew's Day "the Dundee way" and returns for its fifth year on Sunday 29 November 2026 with a theme of Dragons.
What to expect:
- Sunday 29 November 2026, in Dundee city centre
- "A packed programme of music, entertainment and family-friendly activities", in the council's words
- This year's story: the Hooley "will bring the legendary story of Martin and the Dragon to life in a fun, theatrical and magical way... filled with imagination and a little bit of fire"
- Stage times and the 2026 line-up are not published yet - the date was announced on 21 August 2026
- Previous years ran as a free afternoon and evening of live music, street performers, a torchlight procession and parade, and an activities zone with face painting and a silent disco tent
- An outdoor city centre event at the end of November, so dress for the cold and the dark
