The Wreckers

The Wreckers is part of the programme at Burton Constable Hall near Hull: a ghost story by BAFTA-nominated writer Tom Needham, performed in the Great Hall on the eve of Halloween. Two friends escape to a cottage on a remote peninsula, and the tide cuts them off from the mainland.

What to expect:

• One performance only, Friday 30 October 2026, starting at 7:00pm
• "Running time: Approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, including a 20-minute interval"
• "Recommended age: 12+"
• Staged in the historic Great Hall; a bar is open before the performance and during the interval
• "As this is an evening event, it will be dark when you arrive and when you leave" – the route from the car park is lit, but bring a torch
• Parking is beside the Stables, a short walk from the Hall; accessible spaces can be arranged in advance
• Booked through the venue's own ticket shop
