First visit to this excellent Manor house, my wife and I were overwhelmed the presentation of all the wonderful rooms,the room guides were magnificent their knowledge knew no bounds,Georgina and her colleagues on Sunday made our visit very enjoyable, well done all the staff and volunteers.

Beautiful house (from the outside) set in lovely grounds. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Lots of history. The house needs some serious money spending on the inside though. Almost every room seemed to have cracks in the walls and marks on the walls caused by damp or leaks. I realise the house is very old and must cost a fortune to maintain but it's in need of some tlc in places (pretty much every room). Worth a visit though.

Lovely place to stay, it’s peaceful, well kept grounds. Bar is cheap and staff are friendly. Food is nice also.

We really enjoyed our visit while on holiday in the area. There are a significant amount of rooms open and the conservation efforts are clearly excellent. The food in the cafe is good and it was lovely to be able to sit outside with tea and cake today (end of March). The signage for the walks needs a bit of work, we ended up climbing a fence to get back on track, but didn't fancy scaling the haha where the map said the path was going! An enjoyable day out.

What a wonderful day I have never been through so many rooms on a trip around a stately home and all of the guides were a font of knowledge, we took nearly two hours to get around the house and lots of information given in every room. A must to visit and we must go back during the Christmas period as they say it is a feast for the eyes. Thank you Burton Constable volunteers for a truly memorable visit. 👍
