About this event
Thomas Branch Line Weekends are the Nene Valley Railway's regular family running days near Peterborough - the railway describes itself as the home of Thomas. You travel behind Thomas on his Branch Line from Wansford to Yarwell and back.
What to expect:
- Runs on the last weekend of most months, from 31 October 2026 through to 31 October 2027
- A Thomas Shuttle Ticket Day Pass, so you can ride more than once across the day
- Shuttle trains between Wansford and Yarwell, through Yarwell Tunnel
- Trains run to the railway's Blue Timetable, published on the site for each date
- Based at Wansford Station, which has a booking hall cafe, gift shop and free car park
- The 13 and 14 February 2027 weekend opens the railway's 50th anniversary season
- Advertised locomotives are subject to availability, as on any heritage railway
- Book online in advance on the railway's own site
