Time Travel Trails at the Dick Institute

Time Travel Trails is part of the programme at the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock. Calling all Time Travellers - explore the museum on a free, fun, family-friendly self-led trail. As you travel through the building you visit different times in history, tracking down famous local figures and creatures from Ayrshire's past.

What to expect:

• A free self-led paper trail you pick up and follow at your own pace - "free, drop-in during normal venue opening hours"
• New knitted characters hidden through the museum to find: "Wool you find them all?"
• The knitted characters came from a community textile project and are on display alongside the trail
• The listing marks it "Good for: Kids, Young People, Families"
• Museum opening hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday; admission is free
• The same trail runs at Burns House Museum in Mauchline and the Baird Institute in Cumnock, each with its own map
• Tearoom on site, with car parking around the venue
