About this event
Edinburgh's Hogmanay proudly presents the spectacular Torchlight Procession, lighting up the city with a river of fire, created by 15,000 torch bearers and friends from around the world. Launching the Edinburgh Hogmanay festival, it presents a carnival atmosphere with live Street Theatre, Fire Performers and Drummers, before the Massed Pipes & Drums and Vikings from Shetland's South Mainland Up Helly Aa' Jarl Squad lead the procession through the capital's historic Old Town.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 29 December 2026, 18:30, from The Meadows (Melville Drive, EH9 1ND); duration 120 minutes
- You must purchase at least one torch per two people. Entry Wristbands and/or additional torches are needed for all additional participants in your party
- A charity donation is collected with each ticket purchase (£2.00 per Torch Ticket / £1.00 per Additional Procession Ticket)
