Twilight Nights

Twilight Nights is part of the events programme at Colne Valley Railway, the heritage railway at Castle Hedingham in Essex. "Join us for a relaxed winter evening at the railway. From 4:30pm, ride our trains as the railway lights up for Christmas, then warm up with hot food and drinks in our HST buffet."

What to expect:

• Saturday 5, 12 and 19 December 2026, 4:30pm to 8:30pm
• Unlimited evening train rides among Christmas lights and illuminated displays
• No fixed itinerary: arrive any time in the evening and stay as long as you like
• "Twilight Nights are not a Santa experience and Father Christmas will not be appearing at this event."
• Tickets from £6, and dogs on leads are welcome
• Hot food and drinks to buy in the HST buffet; free on-site parking
• An outdoor winter event, so wrap up warm
