About this event
Experience the Clifton Suspension Bridge vaults as the engineers who built the bridge would have, using the light of your own flickering lantern to explore the space. Guides share stories about the labourers who built the bridge, then you don a hard hat and descend the ladder into the historic vaults.
What to expect:
- Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October 2026, 6:30pm - 7:30pm (the last dates of the April to October season)
- "Tours are suitable for age 12+ and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult"; minimum height 1.2m
- Low light and uneven surfaces, a vertical ladder and a low corridor
- Wear sturdy shoes with good grip; the vaults can be wet or muddy
