The Welly Walk is part of the events programme at the Bolton Abbey Estate near Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Embrace the outdoors and get ready for a muddy adventure. The Welly Walk leads from the stepping stones to the Cavendish Pavilion cafe along riverside footpaths, challenging little adventurers to scramble up nets, navigate the pole-to-pole and stay clean coming down the slides.
What to expect:
- Running daily until Sunday 1 November 2026 (it opened on Saturday 23 May)
- Roughly one mile in each direction, along riverside footpaths in the woods
- "This is a challenging adventure and some obstacles are not suitable for all age groups. Please supervise your children at all times."
- Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs - steep in sections with unguarded drops
- "Entry to the Welly Walk is included with your car parking ticket"
- Dogs welcome on a lead; picnic spots at both ends and ice cream at the Pavilion
- Wear sturdy footwear and bring a spare set of clothes
