About this event
Wild About Wool is part of the programme at Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles.
Join us for this special event celebrating the heritage of textile crafts. Enjoy a range of live demonstrations and hands-on activities, from knitting and spinning to felting and rug-making.
What to expect:
- Sunday 11 October 2026 (second day of the weekend), activities between 11am and 4pm
- Try knitting and crochet with volunteers, and have a go at wet felting
- Sheepdogs at work with Oxford Down sheep
- WW1 re-enactors on knitting and textiles in the trenches
- Live music from Peter Eastham at 2pm on Sunday
- Some activities may carry a small additional charge
- A Standard Admission Day; free entry for COAM Annual Members
