Wild Halloween at Lackford Lakes

Wild Halloween is part of the events programme at Lackford Lakes, run by Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Explore the reserve after dark and get involved with spooky nature-themed activities to discover the creatures of the night - a nature themed alternative to Halloween.

What to expect:

• Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October 2026; booked arrival time-slots from 4.30pm, last slots at 7pm, event finishes at 7.30pm
• Tin can bug hotel (bring your own tin can), owl pellet dissection, torch-lit bug hunting, bat detectors and a clay creature station
• All activities are included in your ticket; the trail takes about 1-1.5 hours
• Recommended for 5+; it is very dark between activities, so bring a torch and wrap up warm
• Fancy dress encouraged
• £8 child 5+ / £3 adult/ child under 5
• No admission without pre-booking; café and toilets open on the night
