We had a fantastic visit to Lackford Lakes. Such a peaceful and well-maintained nature reserve, perfect for a relaxing walk and to disconnect from busy daily life. The trails are well signposted and easy to follow, with beautiful views over the lakes. We saw plenty of wildlife and birds, and the hides are great for watching without disturbing nature. Everything felt clean, organised and cared for. The staff and volunteers were friendly and welcoming too. It’s a perfect place for a calm afternoon, whether you enjoy photography, birdwatching or just a quiet walk in nature. We will definitely be coming back!

Friends recommended visiting Lackford Lakes. Spent a very pleasant and relaxing afternoon, walking around the various trails, and observing wildlife from the numerous hides. I saw lots of birds, including Cormorants, Great Egret, Terns, Moorhens, Coots. Long Tailed Tits, Robins etc, plus Muntjac Deer, Rabbits and Dragonflies. The site has a visitor centre / shop, toilets, picnic areas and seating along all the trails. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous place, very beautiful. Great to support our wildlife. If you like walking in nature please visit! We attended the Twilight Walk 15/8/25, to start with you view moths that have been caught humanly and then set free whilst you are there. Very beautiful. Lovely little shop and cafe too. We went earlier in the year too and saw baby Oyster Catchers. Brilliant.

Lackford Lakes is a great affordable day out for birdwatchers and families alike. It's free to enter and park although there is a suggested donation of £3 (contactless or cash). You can rent binoculars from £4 which is great for those who aren't regulars. The on-site cafe offers a limited but nice selection of food and drinks and there is also a little gift shop. There are a few different walking routes, one of which is dog friendly, and lots of hides to view the lakes from.

Beautiful area with lots of beautiful lakes, pathways and for all the bird watchers it’s amazing place to come to. Stunning views and peaceful walks around the area. Lots of nice viewing points to get opportunity just to bird watch or just have a nice view over the lake. You can also bring your food with you and have a picnic after long walk or there is very nice cafe with delicious coffee and cakes.
