WOOFYT: Explore the Science of Music is part of The Grand Organ Festival at Bristol Cathedral, a year-long celebration through 2026 of the restored Cathedral organ.
A hands-on family experience exploring the science, technology and creativity behind one of the world's most remarkable musical instruments.
What to expect:
- Wednesday 28 October 2026
- Workshop sessions of 75 minutes at 9.30am, 10.50am, 1.00pm and 2.20pm
- Children and families investigate how organ pipes work using WOOFYT, the Wooden One-Octave Organ for Young Technologists
- Crafty Cathedral: free drop-in musical arts and crafts through the morning, no booking needed
- "Workshop places are free but must be booked in advance."
- Booking is through Eventbrite; under-18s must come with a parent or guardian
