About this event
WW2 Garrison is part of the programme at Nothe Fort, Weymouth's Victorian sea fort.
The WW2 Garrison Living History group bring wartime history to life, showing the duties of the soldiers stationed at the fort during the Second World War, with local young re-enactors of the Blighty to Berlin Living History Group.
What to expect:
- Saturday 17 October, throughout the day from 10am to 4pm
- No set times: re-enactors roam the fort interacting with visitors
- Parade Ground marching drills and anti-aircraft gun drills
- Join the Coastal Watch patrols around the Ramparts, weather allowing
- Soldier School Recruitment: learn how soldiers enlisted and try on some kit
- Fort View Café open; dogs welcome on short leads; lift to all three levels
- This event is included in the price of admission and is FREE with an Annual Pass.
