Very good place for kids and young stars but not many rides available. Quite tight space for all rides. Sea view is beautiful.

Could be so much better and has so much potential. Staff to be fair are very friendly and seem to be really trying their best, but this park feels really poorly thought out. Although the park is now back to free entry and a pay for ride system, each person must now purchase a ride card (£2 each) and then top up your card to pay for rides. The price system is confusing and there is only one place you can buy credit for the rides in the park (which is not signposted around the park). There is nowhere to tap the cards and see your credit balance which means you quickly lose count of how much credit you have (none of the rides seem to have signs to say how much they cost, again only displayed at the central building where you buy your cards). On 2 x ocassions we topped up the cards and were told by ride operators the amount on the card did not correlate to what we had paid. With no way to check your card balance after paying, it feels like this is a complete con as it happened twice to us. As for the rides, everything feels a bit unloved, weird themeing (random buildings), no signposting, and if im honest it doesnt feel the safest at times. There are rides located in the middle of paths that have no fencing around them, which is a hazard when children are running around near rides which are in motion. Opposite to the caterpillar childrens rollercoaster there are picnic benches right next to an open pond with no fencing which is risky for young children with no warning signs etc. There are lots of food outlets but they all seem to offer exactly the same things (typical funfair food) and all seemed empty. This could be so much better.

Adventure Coast Southport was a fantastic day out for us and our granddaughter. I’m especially impressed with the new ticket options. We had avoided visiting in the past because we didn’t agree with paying such an expensive admission price just to walk around the park. The new system worked perfectly for us — our granddaughter could enjoy unlimited rides, while I was able to pay for rides only when I wanted to join in. It was far better value for money. The food options were also surprisingly good, with plenty to choose from and very reasonable prices for a family attraction. Some of the rides do look a little old-fashioned, but for me that’s actually part of the charm of Adventure Coast Southport. It brought back so many happy memories of visiting as a child more than 40 years ago. The nostalgic seaside atmosphere is something you just don’t get at many modern theme parks. What really made the experience stand out was the staff. The ride operators, food stall workers, and ticket office staff were all genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout the day, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a brilliant day out — full of nostalgia for me and hours of excitement and fun for our granddaughter. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

There was one good ride for adults, video enclosed and one with all the promise a bit of a let down. It’s great for the family and there is plenty to keep them entertained ☺️ you get a ticket card which you can top up that you get to keep with a bright lanyard so you don’t lose it 👍 Nicely situated by king’s gardens so when it gets a bit noisy you can retreat to a quieter spot 👍

My 5 year old daughter had a great time at this theme park today. Staff were friendly and the rides were great. BUT... What a ridiculous pricing system! You have to buy a pass with points on it. Each pass is £2 and then an additional sum of money for various amounts points. So for example, £30 will get you 3300 points, £20 will get you 2100 points or £10 will get you 1000 points. Confused yet? You will be. Each ride will cost you a certain amount of points. No round numbers here. The ultra ride will cost you 678 points, the dodgems will cost you 422 points, and the waltzers will cost you 339 points. None of these figures are divisible into the points totals you have purchased, so without a doubt you will be left with points on your card that you can't use. You would think that the rides would have the points cost on them, so you know what you're paying. But actually the ride costs are only advertised at the single ticket office within the park, and there even seemed to rides missing from this list. The prices aren't even listed on the website, and the claim online that rides can be purchased from £1 is a blatant lie. So you're wandering around, trying to work out how many points you have used, how many points you have left on each card and how many points the next ride will cost you. If you have a little one, you'll need to accompany them on most rides, so these equations become increasingly complex as your balances wane. I saw several disappointed customers being turned away from rides, as they had run out of points on their cards but had no way of knowing this. You would think that you could check your card balance somewhere. Perhaps a machine to scan your card and check your balance? Well, unfortunately these don't exist. There are helpful staff all across the park, but they can't check your balance either. Instead you have to go back to the single ticket office. By now however, the queue there is huge, full of miffed and perplexed customers trying to work out the inconceivable pricing system. Personally, I would have been happy to fork out for an unlimited wristband today, to save myself the headache. The last time I did so many sums was in my GCSE maths (I got a B by the way, not that it helped me much today). Unfortunately, all this did detract from what was an otherwise enjoyable day. Although I would like to return to Adventure Coast, the pricing system would definitely put me off.
