Visited Sibson Lake for the first time yesterday after booking a self launch to try out my new paddleboard and it was a great experience. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and took time to explain the facilities and the layout of lake/river. Will definitely be back

We hired double kayaks from adventure nene and had an amazing time paddling along the river with our kids. The staff were super helpful right from the point of booking, and got us all safely kitted out with the info we needed to enjoy the adventure. While we were there I spotted that they run open water swimming sessions in the lake from May onwards. Its a beautiful spot on the river which made it a joy all round. Just be careful planning your route there - Google maps took us off a very dangerous junction off the A1 which turned out to have a road closure which meant we had to rejoin the A1 and reroute. Navigate to the steam railway instead and follow the road past there.
