If you grew up in the Cold War this is the museum for you . Some really great exhibits , including prototype CVRTs , and a Chieftain Mk 11 . Staff are really engaging and knowledgable, had a great afternoon talking old school BOAR stuff. Recommended !

Limited exhibits indoors but I enjoyed viewing their tanks and various armoured vehicles.

My 2 children (10 and 6years) absolutely loved their visit. The museum wasn't too big, so the boys were engaged throughout the visit. The activities along the way helped too. They loved the fact they were able to try on uniforms and handle the guns through the years. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and informative. A really personal experience. Thank you.

Outstanding museum - small but with plenty to see. Engaging, informative and interesting. A hidden, historical gem! We visited with our two young children, who were kept fully engaged by the differentiated treasure hunt activities, other interactive exhibits around the museum and the demonstrations from staff/volunteers. For a small site, there was much to take in, with plenty of history and information inside and military vehicles, picnic areas and the obstacle course outside. The staff/volunteers were very knowledgeable and are clearly passionate about all that the museum has to offer. The shop and cafe area are very good, with a nice mix of products, food and drink to purchase. The inclusion of permanent, interactive tabletop games is a great idea and offers another way to occupy children when eating. We went on a quiet day, so had no trouble parking - there is a fair-sized car park for the museum and other public car parks within walking distance if that is full. Ticket prices are very good - £11 for an adult, which gets you an annual ticket, allowing for return visits over the following year. Overall, a really good, positive visit throughout which the four of us were occupied and entertained throughout. We spent a fabulous couple of hours there and will definitely be returning as soon as possible. Huge thanks and well done to everyone connected to the museum.

Lots of history! Great staff! And you have the opportunity to even try on costumes and experience with the historical armoury free of charge! (Unfortunately we were in a slight hurry as we were on a tight schedule) but the staff a extremely welcoming and passionate to share the history. The tanks and trucks outside you can walk right up to and get some amazing photos that other museums would normally have roped off. I even got a photo with my little blue car 🚙 next to the monster size tank something I would be unlikely be able to do anywhere else. Great place for sure!!!!
