A small museum that focus on the towns history entry is free and worth a visit. Some incredible pieces and knowledge. Staff super friendly and lovely to see the passion for what they do come through whilst they sat and crotched. (Nice touch ladies thanks for the friendly welcome and your factual knowledge.

Really special place! Full of stunning lace samples back to the 16th century, plus other exhibits. Lace maker present making Honiton lace. Beautiful building, wonderful painted ceiling. We met friendly and informative volunteer staff who love the museum and are committed to it and its history. The shop contains samples of lace to buy as well as vintage/antique cotton garments for babies, children and adults. Lots of lovely things to buy and a lot in the museum to engage children at all levels. A very special visit.

A small museum that tells the story of local history from the prehistoric to the modern day. The voluntary staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have on occasions, lace making demonstrations. Honiton was the centre of the lace making industry in 19th century in the southwest. The museum is free but has a donation box.

Truly wonderful! A hidden gem🌟 This charming museum holds a range of stunning artefacts; from the essential inclusion of astounding lace through the ages, to items of social and military history and also the building itself. It should also be mentioned that the volunteer staff are truly amazing; knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. It is free to enter and really warrants a ticket price although it is of course great to have a treasure available to all. Thank you so much for our visit and for all your hard work.

If you are in the area this museum is a great place to visit. It is small but is very interesting. Staff are lovely and friendly. Brought 2 lavender hearts and a poppy. It’s worth the visit
