A rare experience. The real authentic historic building and contents presented beautifully in lovely, well cared for authentic grounds. Excellent guide included within the entry price on hand that is very knowledgeable about the history of the property as well as Anne and her relationship to William. Excellent parking, a lovely little gift shop, garden shop, cafe, Ice creams and toilet facilities all make for a wonderful worthwhile visit. Not expensive by comparison to other places and just right to fit into a morning or afternoon.

Lovely history, tour guides very knowledgeable. Down side: signs for the entrance not clearly marked, entrance into the house not clearly marked. Inside the house very small, not sure when would be the best time to go. Stairs very narrow and step not good for people with mobility issues.

Lovely place to visit that really takes you back in time. The guides were very informative and definitely added to the experience. We went for a walk around the orchard and don't miss the sculpture garden or the tea rooms opposite... scones are very nice.

A step back in time in this delightful cottage and grounds. Very tranquil, lovely to hear the history from the guides at different locations. Very polite staff and helpful. The statues garden was lovely look out for the plaques around with quotes from King Leah etc. There is a cafe across from the cottage for a small bite to eat and a drink nice little place.

I walked to the cottage from the town (New Place) and it was very easy to find, waking through the lovely village of Shottery. The staff were very welcoming, and let me know that a coach-load of kids had not long arrived so suggested a walk around the grounds first which I did and really enjoyed especially the daffodils and altitude sculptures/ statues. The weather was on my side and the cottage looked glorious in the sunshine. I sat and listened to the very knowledgeable guide before taking a mooch around the inside of the many cottage rooms. I really enjoyed my visit and hope to visit again in the next 12 months
