If you’re a casual or non-professional gamer, Arcade Club is definitely a place worth visiting. There’s a huge collection of classic arcade machines, as well as a good selection of relatively newer rhythm and music games. However, as someone with a Esports background who is very familiar with arcade games, I noticed that around 10% of the machines were unfortunately out of order or not fully usable. In particular, Taiko no Tatsujin was quite disappointing. There are two machines with four drums in total, but one side was completely unresponsive, and one of the drumsticks was also missing. On the other machine, only the right side worked properly, while the left drum had a sensitive issue. For couples visiting together, I’d also like to see more games that support proper 2-player gameplay. I also couldn’t find any horse-racing arcade games, such as Gallop Racer, which would be a great addition. That said, there are still some really enjoyable machines, such as Densha de Go!, which was a highlight for me. The canteen on the top floor has plenty of seating and the food is reasonably priced, although the waiting time was quite long. At weekends, finding a parking space outside can also be a bit of a challenge. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting as an attraction and for the sheer variety of arcade games. However, from a more experienced player’s perspective, it’s not quite a 5-star experience for me, and I’m not sure I would visit again.
Bury Arcade club is a great place for gamers to visit! It consists of 4 floors full of a wide variety of games ranging from old school retro games such as pac-man, lots of racing games, shooting games, dance games such as dance dance revolution, and more traditional arcade games such as basketball & skee-ball. You can also play on consoles such as the xbox and Nintendo switch. There is a floor dedicated to Japanese games. You can also find drinks and snacks at affordable prices from the bars and food such as pizza, burgers. hotdogs & nachos from the cafe at great prices. Great place for everyone, definitely worth a visit!
🎮 Arcade Club Bury — proper gamer heaven! 🕹️ If you grew up loving arcades, this place is basically a nostalgia overload. 3 floors packed with classics like Terminator, Crazy Taxi, Mario Kart, OutRun, Big horn Trucker, Street Fighter, Tekken, International Track & Field, World Cup… and that’s barely scratching the surface. Then you’ve got pinball, pool, basketball games and a bar on every floor. 🍺 Only downside? It’s spread over 3 floors, so expect a few stair runs between games! 😂 Food is decent, although ours took about 30 minutes plenty of time for another round of Street Fighter. Friday is adults only, which makes it even better. No kids hogging the machines… just grown adults fighting over who gets the next go on Mario Kart. 😂 Proper geeky, nostalgic fun. Thumbs up all round! 🎮🤓👍
This place is so amazing that I joke that when I die I want to be cremated and my ashes spread around it. Amazing variety of retro arcade machines on free play, and decent quality food (pizza, hot dogs etc) at a very affordable price. Lovely vegan hot dog too. I will definitely visit again every time I am near Manchester.
We travelled a long way to visit, and it was absolutely worth it! It definitely didn’t disappoint. The whole family had a fantastic time. We visited on a weekday, so it wasn’t too busy, which made the experience even better. The unlimited lives on the arcade games were a brilliant touch—you could just keep playing instead of losing after a few tries! 🤣 Our 7-year-old especially loved the tank game and had an amazing time. We’d definitely recommend it to other families! Is a shame they don’t have a branch down in south, otherwise it will be our top destinations trip!
