Explore an 18th century walled garden with a magical fairy trail, enclosed play park, and family-friendly café using fresh garden produce.

Archerfield Walled Garden is a beautiful countryside destination that combines historic horticulture with modern family-friendly amenities. The heart of the venue is an 18th century walled garden, originally used to grow produce for Archerfield House, now featuring a perennial meadow, wildlife area, rose garden, potager, and cut flower beds. Visitors can wander through extensive grounds including a picturesque Beech Walk, Willow Walk, and beautiful pond area. | Families with young children will love the magical Fairy Trail located in old Archerfield Wood, where children hunt for fairies among willow structures, sculptures, and woodland swings—free and requiring no booking. The enclosed Play Park features wooden climbing frames, a play house, and wooden train, providing a safe space for supervised play. | The Garden Café offers seasonal, family-friendly food emphasising ingredients grown on-site, from hearty breakfasts to light lunches and cakes. The venue also features a garden shop, food market with artisan items and ready meals, and a deli counter. Throughout the grounds, ample seating allows visitors to relax with picnics or café purchases. Pushchairs are welcome, and the dog-friendly policy means pets can join family visits. The fairy walk and park are great. The cafe is lovely (not cheap but lovely). The shop always has a good selection. The Halloween walk for the kids was fun. Great santas grotto, the Santa was amazing. Highly recommend.

I asked if they were doing gluten free things for breakfast and the server just told me traybakes. Later I saw there were menu options for hot food that could be made gf. I felt like no one particularly cared to help. Extra star as the atmosphere is otherwise quite nice

The cafe has improved now that you can grab a table before ordering. Simple thing but it works. Also a wide choice of things to buy in their garden centre. Some high quality drinks and foods available to buy. And why not go for a walk around Archerfield afterwards.

Had breakfast; waffles with bacon, egg and maple syrup. Absolutely delicious 😋. Great coffee too and value for money.

Lovely place to visit if you have young children or fancy a bite to eat and buy local foods. The walled gardens are beautiful too.
