The Ariundle National Nature Reserve Car Park is straightforward to locate. It is a paid lot, but a practical tip for visitors: there are a couple of free parking spots situated just outside the main parking boundary. The trail itself offers a very pleasant, flat, and exceptionally peaceful hike. Visiting on a Monday late morning, we didn't encounter a single other person. The atmosphere and landscape strongly reminded me of the native old-growth forests back home in Estonia. The infrastructure is highly maintained and clearly marked, featuring great views and a few well-placed benches to pause and take in the environment. Two practical notes for future hikers: First, the trail section running directly alongside the Strontian River was quite waterlogged in places, requiring elevated attention to your footing. Second, the notorious Scottish midges did not bother us at all (though we did proactively apply repellent). An excellent, tranquil nature walk.

Lovely nature walks for all the family... with the option of accessing the local hills and mountains. Parking meters. Well maintained circular walks. Birds of prey and red deer for the eagle eyed.

Was a great getaway from the big towns in Scotland, I used the ferry from Fort William to get to the other side, cutting travel time by an hour. The forest itself is beautiful and plenty to see, lots of mossy covered oaks and rowans, with plenty of flowing waters and waterfalls.

Had a lovely peaceful walk of about eight miles. Followed The Fairy Road high up into the mountains. Fantastic views, well maintained pathways and boardwalk.
